The MA01 lamp is a light fixture designed by Studio Ammó and Malàkio, two committed companies, created by designers and artisans, united by the wild and unique atmosphere of the Breton coasts, but also by common values such as respect for the environment and the desire to promote local craftsmanship. Convinced of the future of human-scale French craftsmanship, and valuing local know-how and raw materials, we design and manufacture all the pieces of the collection together. Les Pierres Noires.

The MA01 lamp is designed from noble and responsible materials. The solid oak used for the structure comes from sustainably managed French forests (PEFC certified) and is hand-turned in Studio Ammo's workshop in Morbihan. The Malàkio disc is custom-cast in Nantes from recycled shells. The low-tech process used for its manufacture is particularly energy-efficient and requires no chemical additives.

One of the essential phases of our approach is also to consider, from its design, the life cycle of the object and its impact on the environment. We have thus developed a glue-free and screw-free assembly solution for this creation. It is the very design of the object that takes into account this need for repairability, for a maximally refined materiality, and for optimized assembly: the metal arch alone secures the disc to the oak base. Through this assembly technique, we seek to eliminate waste in the field of object design.

Each piece created is unique; the possible presence of very slight irregularities is normal and not a defect, this is due to manual manufacturing. This is also what makes the charm of this creation!
