The result of a meeting between two committed French artisanal businesses valuing materials, this collaboration between Malàkio and Q de Bouteilles has given birth to an object that is aesthetic, committed, and meaningful, embodying the dialogue between two French savoir-faire united by reuse and sustainable creation.

The base of the candle holder is made from our Istrenn composite, blending crushed oyster shells, but not only that, as we also incorporate glass shards from Q de Bouteilles' production scraps. The glass cloche, meanwhile, is crafted from a magnum bottle recycled by Q de Bouteilles. Each Malàkio x QDB Editions candle holder is unique, featuring a mineral and textured finish that tells the story of its raw materials. Based in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, the team of artisan glassmakers at QDB Editions has been working with glass in their own workshop since 2016. They have perfected all glass production techniques and continually explore the possibilities of this material, blending tradition and experimentation, for both series productions and custom projects.

Each piece created is unique, and the possible presence of very slight irregularities is normal and not a defect, as it is due to manual manufacturing. This is also what gives this creation its charm!
